Asset Finance Relationship Manager

 

 
 

Job Role:

  • Establish and secure asset finance sales opportunities to meet customer needs and own performance targets by maintaining existing income sources and identifying areas of growth and new business acquisition opportunities
  • Responsibility for maintaining an extensive network of contacts, including Group Companies and Key Business Introducers, driving proactive business development for new and existing customers
  • Ensure Credit Risk Accreditation status is achieved and maintained
  • Responsible for the quality of initial credit applications taking into account the environment in which customers operate and current Bank credit policy and procedures
  • Responsible for building an effective working partnership with credit colleagues to jointly agree credit risk actions and ownership of credit risk decisions
  • Ensure compliance with mandatory Risk policies and procedures relating to governance, regulatory, compliance operational and legal risk
  • Take responsibility for the development of a close working relationship with your Support Team, sharing knowledge and good practice ad helping to develop capabilities

The Person:

  • Detailed knowledge of the Asset Finance products, services and policies required to undertake the role:
  • Detailed knowledge of the features and benefits of the Asset Finance product set that create maximum value and are the financial drivers of External Sales
  • A detailed understanding of the Asset Finance market place
  • Comprehensive understanding of the impact of local and national economic environment on customer's needs
  • Good working knowledge of mandatory Risk policies and procedures relating to governance, regulatory, compliance, operational and legal risk

ESSENTIAL:

  • SATISFIES THE FSA CRITERIA FOR AN APPROVED PERSON, BOTH INITIALLY AND ONGOING
  • Successful sales track record, preferably within Financial Services
  • The jobholder will be required to undertake a significant number of visits to customers at their own premises, requiring a high degree of mobility around your designated 'patch'
