Accountant

Leading manufacturing company seeking an Accountant to join their Finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the ideal candidate will be an experienced accountant with a strong understanding of manufacturing environments. This role would be ideal for suitably qualified individuals currently residing in Fermanagh, Cavan or Monaghan. However, those living outisde these counties and are willing to travel or reclocate will also be considered.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee the completion and review of the monthly Management Accounts (Balance Sheet and P&L) and related information within specified deadlines
• Check reconciliation of main Balance Sheet control accounts for all companies.
• Review preparation of PAYE/NI, VAT, Intrastat, Landfill tax, Aggregates tax, statistical and any other Statutory returns ensure that all returns are sent out within specified deadlines.
• Preparation of year-end Statutory accounts for above named manufacturing companies.
• Preparation of audit file and liaison with auditors
• Preparation and review of annual budget forecasts
• Compile all necessary information required for tax computations
• Ensure all tasks on checklist are carried out efficiently within specified deadlines
• Deal with all divisional management queries on a monthly basis and attend quarterly management accounts meeting with directors.
• Carry out various accounts project work as queries arise following quarterly management accounts meetings and other ongoing project work as requested by the Financial Controller.
• Ensure that all tasks are completed in accordance with Health & Safety regulations.
• Any other duties deemed relevant by management.
